Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is expected to be unveiled as new Liverpool boss today and will immediately begin trying to clarify the uncertain futures of star duo Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.
Both men have been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer and that speculation only increased when Rafael Benitez left the club about a month ago.
But Hodgson, who is widely tipped to be installed as the new manager very soon, will push hard to keep skipper Gerrard and striker Torres according to reports.
Real Madrid are on the trail of Gerrard whilst both Barcelona and Real are interested in Torres who is still on duty with Spain at the World Cup in South Africa.
