Ince warns Wolves: You must buy

Former Wolves midfielder Paul Ince says his old club can stay up in the Premiership if they invest in Mick McCarthy's squad.

"By the time the season starts I am sure Mick will have them ready," MK Dons boss Ince told the Birmingham Mail.

"Staying in the Premier League is all about investment and when I was there they didn't invest one iota, but it wasn't until the last four games of the season that we were relegated.

"With a bit of investment we would have stayed up and would probably still be there.

"I was delighted when they got promoted last season and I think they deserved it. Let's hope Mick can keep them there.

"For the likes of myself and Alex Rae, to be playing in the Premiership in our mid-30s was fantastic but I was disappointed in the club that we didn't invest when we should have done.

''The players we did buy weren't really the type of players that would keep you in the Premiership.

"It still hurts me, but they are there again now and hopefully they can stay there."
