Ince raps ex-England pal Campbell: You let down Notts County players

MK Dons boss Paul Ince says Sol Campbell has let down Notts County's players after walking out on the club last week.

In his column for the News of the World, Ince wrote: "Now he's walked out after five weeks and one game and I wonder if he realises what kind of mess he's left behind.

"Not in the boardroom but in the dressing room. To be honest, I couldn't care less about what's going on behind the scenes there. All I know is that it's descending into the kind of circus that always seems to follow Sven about.

"But the effect this week will have had on the Notts County players and their manager, Ian McParland, is what concerns me.

"Sol reckons he's had promises made to him, promises County couldn't fulfil. But what about the promises he made to the fans about being there for the long haul and leading a five-year project?

"I know Sol well. We grew up in the same area and played together for many years with England but even though I'd say we're mates, he still comes across as a strange character."
