Luke Garbutt's form with Everton U23s won't see him earn a first team call.
The Liverpool Echo says the fullback was not registered by Everton for the Premier League this season.
Usually players from the U23s side wouldn't have a problem with progressing into the first team when they impress, due to the fact that they are below 23 years of age and within the FA's guidelines.
However, with Garbutt being 24-years-old, he needed to be registered before the campaign started - and missed out on both the Europa League and the Premier League squads for at least the first half of this season.
The Blues will have a chance to register the defender again in January, so Garbutt will need to keep his good form up until then to impress the manager.
