Theo Walcott is eager to be given a chance to lead the line for England on Friday.
The Three Lions host Estonia in Euro2016 qualifying at Wembley and Arsenal star Walcott could start in a central position for Roy Hodgson is captain Wayne Rooney is not passed fit.
The Manchester United skipper is battling an ankle injury and may not get up for the clash which will throw the in-form Walcott into the fray - a responsibility he is willing to take.
"Being Wayne he always wants to represent his country,' the Arsenal player told a press conference," he said.
"If he can't - and he's obviously got a little knock, we'll know tomorrow if he's able to train - the manager will make the decision.
"Playing there (up front) for England, that's what I want to do.
"You want to represent your country and I know everyone would like to see me up front, but whether it's on the left or right... there's an opportunity there definitely."
