Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata will become the richest Spanish transfer when he signs for Chelsea on Thursday.

Morata hopped onto a flight in Los Angeles bound for London last night.

AS says Real have accepted an offer from Chelsea of €80m plus a further €5m in bonuses. The fee is the biggest involving a Spanish player in history.

Morata will also sign a five-year contract with Chelsea worth €9m-a-year.

Chelsea made an attempt to sign Morata last summer and were the most serious for him going into this transfer window before Manchester United came forward.

Last night, Morata admitted the presence of Antonio Conte convinced him about Chelsea.
