Bayern Munich can sign permanently James Rodriguez for less than half the fee Real Madrid paid Monaco for him three years ago.
James signed for Bayern on Tuesday on a two-year loan with the option to join permanently.
BILD reports Bayern will pay €5m-a-season for the two year loan, with the option to sign him outright for €32.5m.
Real paid Monaco €80m for James immediately after the Brazil World Cup.
"I am very happy to be able to close this operation," said James upon signing his Bayern contract.
