'I'll always keep my season ticket at Chelsea' - NYCFC new boy Lampard

Frank Lampard, who played his last Premier League game for Manchester City last month, insists he will always remain a Chelsea fan.

The New York City FC recruit insisted that he currently has no plans to get into coaching in the near future, but refuses to rule out a return to his former London side, where he is still a season ticket holder.

He said: "I'm not someone who says they will miss the dressing-room banter. That's not really me.

"I have a varied life and could get by without football if that's the way it pans out.

"I'll always keep my season ticket at Chelsea though and if they want me back in any capacity…"

When questioned about his departure from the Premier League he responded: "It feels the right time to be leaving the Premier League.

"I thought it would have been at the end of last season but I've had a nice swansong with Manchester City.

"This will be a big challenge - a different challenge. I'm going to a new country and a new club which is a test in itself."
