Ilan eyeing new chance at West Ham
Ilan is hoping for a new chance at West Ham United.
Brazilian striker Ilan has clinched a six-month contract following his recent release from French club St Etienne.
Ilan, 29, had plenty of success in France with Sochaux and St Etienne before falling out of favour with the latter team this season.
He said: "I am very happy to have signed and to play here. I spoke to Gianfranco Zola and he is a very nice guy. I spoke a little Italian and a little French to him. I am happy to be here and it is a great opportunity for me.
"West Ham are a big club in England and a very traditional club. I also love the Premier League."
