Igor de Camargo has snubbed both Fulham and Everton by returning to Germany with a view to completing a transfer to Hoffenheim.
Fulham were confident of signing striker De Camargo and negotiations were well advanced for a loan from Borussia Monchengladbach for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal.
Everton were also involved and offered better wages than Fulham but again wanted a loan with the option to buy at the end of the season for the 29-year-old Brazil-born Belgium international.
De Camargo left England on Tuesday to discuss a permanent transfer to Hoffenheim, who offered a two-and-half year permanent contract.
