Ignasi Miquel to get first Arsenal start in Leeds cauldron

Ignasi Miquel is in line for a first Arsenal start in the cauldron at Leeds United tonight.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger may play Miquel in their FA Cup replay at Elland Road so to rest Johan Djourou.

Miquel, a Barcelona-born Spanish youth international and the captain of Arsenal's reserves, was an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw with Leeds 10 days ago and again in last Wednesday's 1-0 Carling Cup semi-final first-leg defeat at Ipswich Town.

Wenger is conscious that Djourou might need a rest and, although Leeds will present a tough test at a sold‑out Elland Road, there is no doubt that he views the Premier League visit of Wigan Athletic on Saturday as the bigger game, and he wants Djourou ready for that.
