But The Journal says PSG feel the Magpies have overvalued their star player at £25m.
And France Football also suggested the club's two most influential players - captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic and vice-captain Thiago Silva - have advised president Nasser al-Khelaïfi against signing the 28-year-old.
