AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic faces missing the Serie A kickoff with an ankle injury.
The Swede twisted his ankle in Sunday's 2-2 friendly with Malmo and is expected to be sidelined for two weeks as a result.
The international striker has undergone a series of tests which confirmed a distortion trauma.
The Italian champions open their campaign away to Cagliari on Saturday 27 August.
