Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not at all surprised by both his and the team's success since he joined Manchester United.
The 35-year-old Swedish striker scored a match-winning brace at Wembley today as the Red Devils defeated Southampton 3-2 in a dramatic EFL Cup final.
Ibrahimovic now has 26 goals in all competitions for United and insists he is not shocked by his own form despite all the criticism in pre-season.
"No, no. This is what I predicted. Everything I thought would happen," he told Sky Sports.
"The only thing is the others didn't see it. And I came here to show them what I saw and what I would do.
"Apparently to many I could not do it, but I keep going and doing what I am doing every year."
Ibrahimovic, who bookended the League Cup final with goals on 19 and 87 minutes, added a 32nd major trophy to his ever-growing list.
"This is what I came for, I came to win and I am winning," he added.
"I have to keep going because the more I win the more satisfied I get.
"You appreciate winning more the older you get, it's all about winning and collecting trophies.
"This is my 32nd trophy, wherever I have been I have won."
