Liverpool legend Graeme Souness believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be able to turn Manchester United into an exciting attacking team once again.

United looked toothless in attack under Louis van Gaal over the past two seasons but with the summer arrivals of the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba, many expect the Red Devils to become an attacking force once again during the upcoming campaign.

The signing of Ibrahimovic in particular, has caught the imagination of many and Anfield hero Souness firmly believes that the Swedish superstar will transform United's goal shy attack this season while turning the fortunes of the Old Trafford outfit back into the 'Theatre of Dreams'.

The Sky Sports pundit told the Daily Mirror: "You saw him against Leicester – he didn't really take part in the game but came up with the winner. And he will do that time and time again this season.

"Running around has never been his strongest point. He has got a great football brain, he is economical with his movement and he is cute and clever. And he has the most ridiculous technique. In other games, against the lesser teams, he will destroy them single-handedly.

"If they get the blend right, it will be exciting times at Old Trafford this year. If you factor in Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and then him up top, it is exciting times.

"It is the Theatre of Dreams again."
