Ibrahimovic giving us what we expect - Man Utd boss Mourinho

Jose Mourinho suggests Zlatan Ibrahimovic is giving Manchester United everything expected of him.

The Swedish striker has scored six goals in 12 matches for the Red Devils since arriving on a free from PSG in the summer and apart from goals, has also brought with him to Old Trafford a glut of experience and know-how.

Mourinho has highlighted the impact Ibrahimovic has had on the United playing group and feels the 35-year-old is doing the exact job required of him in the early stages of his United career.

"He's giving us exactly what we need from him, what we expect from him," said Mourinho ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Fenerbahce.

"I'm really happy. It's quite beautiful for me to meet him, I don't know, five or six years later [after our time together at Inter Milan], and see the same ambition, passion and desire to play and compete.

"I couldn't be happier, and the guy is really fit and ready to play, so I couldn't be happier.

"In terms of his influence in the dressing room, obviously he's somebody the young guys look at, you can see he's great for them because he can only influence them positively."
