Former Atletico Madrid defender Pablo Ibanez is confident he can handle the Premiership's physical style after joining West Brom.
After ending seven years in Spain's top flight he revealed he had done his homework on his new boss.
"I know of the head coach from his playing days but I've also been putting questions about him to people who know him," said the former Atletico Madrid ace.
"I know he is a young coach who has done a great job in the two years he has been coaching. He did well at MK Dons and winning promotion to the Premier League with Albion at the first attempt was a great achievement."
Pablo says the Premier League will not be as foreign to him as it might have been as he has been an avid follower of matches on TV.
"I know the league very well, and what to expect, because I watch most of the games," he said.
"The most important thing will be the physical aspect. The Premier League is physically a tougher competition."
