Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that he will continue to play in the striker position if manager Antonio Conte wants him to.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been deployed in a more advanced role by Antonio Conte during the club's pre-season tour of Austria.
Loftus-Cheek played alongside striker Michy Batshuayi in the 3-0 friendly win against Austrian club RZ Pellets WAC on Wednesday, scoring the second of the Chelsea goals with a header from Victor Moses' corner.
"I don't get many with my head so it was nice to score one, luckily for me I was really close to the goal when the corner came in," he told the club's official website.
"The boss said he thinks it will suit me to play there and I'm not going to argue with that. It's a new challenge, it's different for me but I'm working at it and I felt I did better than I did in Saturday's game (loss to Rapid Vienna)."
