I've been asking Eto'o to become more physical - Chelsea's Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admits he has asked Samuel Eto'o to become a more physical player so he can cope with the rigours of the Premier League.

The Cameroon international scored a 34th-minute winner for the Blues as they came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday after Eden Hazard had cancelled out Martin Skrtel's very early opener.

Some feel Eto'o was lucky to still be on the pitch after an early challenge on Jordan Henderson but Mourinho says he did not see the incident while confirming he had urged the former Barcelona and Inter Milan star to use a little more force.

"I didn't see it, I don't know which situation you are referring to," he said when asked about the challenge on Henderson.

Before adding: "For some weeks I have been criticising him a lot internally for his failure to adapt to what the Premier League is in terms of physicality so if he had a tackle deserving of a card it was my fault because I'm asking him to adapt to this."
