New England Revolution striker Saer Sene has revealed that he used to wear Thierry Henry's France shirt everywhere he went.
The 25-year old met the New York Red Bulls star at the Clarefontaine academy when he was 12 years old and Henry handed him his number 12 France national team shirt.
13 years on and Sene was on the same pitch as the Arsenal great who scored the only goal as New York won 1-0 over the Revs on the weekend but from the sounds of it, the ex-Bayern Munich II attacker was just thrilled to be out there in the company of the legendary Henry.
"I [went] to school with the shirt, I [went] to church with the shirt, I even trained in it.""I told him last night, 'You gave me your shirt, and I kept it,''' said Sene. "I still have it at home.
Henry's goal sent the Red Bulls to third on the Eastern Conference table and was his ninth of the season whilst Sene played a full 90 minutes for the Revs who dropped to second bottom in the same conference following their third straight defeat.
