Wigan Athletic defender Emmerson Boyce would have loved to have won a match at home for Arsenal when he was a childhood but was happy to be on the other side on Monday night.
The 32-year old used to be a big Gunners fans when he was younger but put all that aside when he helped the Latics to a massive 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium which saw the club move five points clear of the relegation zone which for him was the most important thing.
"We all supported Arsenal from childhood - I remember the days of Ian Wright, David Rocastle and so on very well.
"To be honest, though, the only thing that matters now is Wigan and, even though it was great to win at Arsenal, the main thing is that we stay up at the end of the season.""My brothers are still big Arsenal fans," he told the Evening Post. "They were at the Emirates and I was quick to give them a ring after and see what they had to say.
