West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is aiming to get back into the fold for the England national squad.
The 26-year-old striker has suffered a succession of injuries during the last two years and his last appearance for the Three Lions came in 2012.
He has managed just 27 appearances for his club over the past two seasons but is eager to return to his best which in turn could see him back in the England fray.
Carroll's latest injury, ligament damage to his knee, has troubled him since February, yet he remains hopeful of an England recall.
He said in an interview with Forever Sports: "100% I need to get back in the England squad. And I think I can, you know.
"I've been really unlucky with injuries. I've got nine caps but I think it should be a lot more."
