Neil Lennon hopes the Turkish referee appointed to Wednesday night's Champions League fixture between Celtic and Juventus puts in a better shift than Alberto Mallenco did three weeks ago.
The Spaniard consistently missed the grappling tactics employed by the Italian champions on Celtic players in the first leg, particularly their attackers, and Lennon wants the second leg to be more fairly officiated by Firat Aydinus.
Lennon said the club was expecting a phone call from UEFA regarding the treatment of his players but nothing had been forthcoming.
"(Celtic chief) Peter (Lawwell) said he will get a call but we haven't had anything yet," he said.
"I am disappointed but is it really a surprise? We have a Turkish referee tomorrow. I don't know what Turkish referees are like - but I hope he is stronger than the Spanish one."
