Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has stated that he used to look up to former Liverpool star Michael Owen.
Aguero is arguably one of the best strikers in the Premier League and many young footballers aspire to become as good as the Argentine international.
Now even Aguero has gone on to reveal that his childhood icon was former Liverpool goalscorer Owen and the City star has stated that he used to model his game on the former England international.
"I always liked the Premier League, as a kid. I used to like Liverpool because I liked Michael Owen! He was pretty small so I used to identify with him when I was seven or eight," he told the Match of the Day magazine.
"Playing in the Premier League was always something that I'd wanted to do. Now I'm here I reckon, right now, the Premier League is better than not just the Spanish League but probably any other league in the world!"
