I always keep an eye on results of 'good friend' Henry - LA Galaxy's Beckham

David Beckham admits he is always keeping up to date with the results and performances of former Premier League rival Thierry Henry.

The pair are set to clash in MLS on Tuesday night when Henry's New York Red Bulls host Beckham's LA Galaxy and the Englishman has made no secret of the fact that the star pair are still very close friends.

"Obviously I keep an eye on their results because of Thierry; he's a friend," the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder said.

"Having Thierry in the team you've got the experience of a player who's played at the top level and knows how to play in pressure situations.

"But he's got a lot of players around him who're stepping up, and obviously they've got character because when they've needed to get results the last few week they've scraped them.''

The Red Bulls are currently placed fifth on the Eastern Conference table whilst the Galaxy are seven points clear at the top of the West ahead of the Red Bull Arena meeting.
