Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia knows Djibril Cisse will be out to prove critics wrong when he visits with Olympique Marseille tomorrow night.

And he warned: "He is such a dangerous opponent and will have more will to prove he is a good player.

"We have to stop him from doing that."

Things did not work out for Cisse - the Reds' then record £14million signing who suffered two leg breaks - under Rafael Benitez and he went to Marseille on loan before being signed for £6m in July.

But Hyppia added: "He can score from everywhere, he has a powerful shot and is lightning quick, so we will have to be on our guard."
