Hutton insists: Spurs haven't told me I can't play

Tottenham fullback Alan Hutton is facing a club v country row as he battles to be fit for Scotland's World Cup qualifier with Holland.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has already claimed Hutton WON'T face Holland.

But the ex-Rangers star said: "There's no problem with my club and there's no agreement in place about me not playing.

"I will report for duty fully fit in my eyes and desperate to play.

"It's pretty much down to me. If there is no reaction, no pain, then everything should be fine. It's not ideal, I guess. It would have been better to have had a few more games and maybe appear for the first team.

"But as it happens there is not much time so this is the best way to do it. It's a big task, but I believe in my own ability.

"I've been working hard for months and training for two weeks so if I'm asked to play it won't be a problem.

"The reserve game might not be as high a standard but it's still game time and I'll have almost a week to train when I get back up there.

"That will be bordering on three weeks' full training plus a game and in my eyes that's enough. I should be fine."
