Hutton convinced he made right choice in Spurs

Alan Hutton is convinced he made the right decision to join Tottenham after making his debut in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The former Rangers fullback was impressive and told the News of the World: "I definitely feel I've made the right choice to come down here to a massive club and look forward to playing in games like this every week.

"It's what every young boy from Scotland probably dreams of doing. Leaving Rangers was a big step for me but overall I'm glad I came here.

"Now I'm just looking forward to all the games coming up and playing against all the other great players down here."

Hutton, 23, returns to Scotland for a training camp with the national team which sees the players meet new head coach George Burley on Sunday night and train over the next two days.

He has no doubt the move to Tottenham will be a success, and insists his price tag should not be a factor.

"I didn't feel the pressure of the fee to be honest," Hutton said. "I believe in myself and I know what I can do."
