Robert Huth hopes to make the first day of preseason at Stoke City.
The Sentinel says Huth hopes to join in the first day of pre-season training next week as he bids to reclaim his place at the heart of Stoke's defence.
The big German had never missed more than two consecutive Premier League matches for the Potters before limping out of a home win over Sunderland last November. He did not feature again all season.
But he is expected to join in with his team-mates when they return to the training ground to start preparations for the new campaign on Wednesday.
