Former Sunderland star Don Hutchison believes that either Sam Allardyce or Glenn Hoddle would be the perfect man to take over at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland will need to begin their search for a new manager once again following the departure of Dick Advocaat at the end of the recently-completed season and a raft of names have been linked with the hot seat on Wearside.
Now, former Black Cats midfielder Hutchison has expressed his views regarding who should become the next manager of the club and has stated that former West Ham United boss Allardyce would be his first choice.
Writing in his column for the Chronicle, Hutchison said: "My big pick for Sunderland would still be Sam Allardyce.
"I think that would work well, but then there are also loads of experienced managers out there who could offer something.
"I have mentioned Glenn Hoddle before - he'd do a decent job."
