Celtic have been told to up their bid for Brann star Erik Huseklepp.
The Norway international is desperate to move to Celtic Park.
The player's father, Ingvald, told the Daily Record: "When Erik signed a new contract Brann promised him that if any club came in for him from outside Norway they would help him make the move. But it seems now the situation is different."
However, an official of the Norwegian club said : "It was a gentlemen's agreement. There was nothing in writing but we shook hands and that handshake expired last summer."
Meanwhile, Celtic have offered a trial to Irish club Sporting Fingal's 24-year-old midfielder Shaun Williams.
