Reading are ready to make Stephen Hunt their equal top earner to keep him away from Sunderland.

The Daily Express says Reading will make Hunt their joint-highest earner to prevent him from moving to Sunderland, who have had two bids rejected. Hunt will join Kevin Doyle on £20,000 a week.
