Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has paid a stunning tribute to Claudio Ranieri after his sacking by Leicester City.

Mourinho is furious over the way Ranieri as treated last week.

Mourinho said: “What Claudio did at Leicester was bigger than my three titles for Chelsea combined.

“In 50 years, Leicester fans will know what Claudio did and it will be positive.

“There was clearly a next step for me – and for Claudio there will also be a next step."
