Everton star Tim Cahill believes that the humble beginnings of a lot of the club's players make them appreciate the English Premier League more.
The Australian international was speaking on Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday show when he said the fact that he and his teammates have experienced the lower leagues of England has made them not take their current position for granted.
"I think we play off each other," he said.
"The big thing is that we understand the history of the club and we know what it means to play for such a big club.
"Some of us have played in the Championship. I've played as low as the second division.
"So we really appreciate our position and playing in the Premier League is still pretty special to this day."
