Jimmy Bullard admits he threatened to go on strike at Fulham to get his move to Hull City.
"I had 16 months left on my contract, and I wasn't willing to play with just 16 months left - I told them that, even though I was under contract," Bullard told BBC's Football Focus.
"I've been out injured for 16 months before and I know it isn't a long time. But I just felt Fulham didn't want me and I needed more backing from the club.
"I was in talks over a new contract and was told I wasn't getting one and could leave in January.
"For a player to be told that is quite harsh and when I came up to Hull it was totally different. That made it a lot easier for me."
