Ipswich have failed with a move for Hull City midfielder George Boateng.

The Hull Daily Mail says Boateng, whose contract runs until the end of the season, has already turned down a loan move to Championship strugglers Ipswich this month.

The Dutchman is expected to be put up for sale when the market reopens in January.
