Hull winger Elmohamady happy to beat Sunderland for Bruce

Hull City winger Ahmed Elmohamady was delighted for manager Steve Bruce after victory over Sunderland.

Elmohamady, who followed Bruce to Hull from Sunderland, said the City players were delighted to win it for their manager.

The Egypt star said: "Before the game, I was thinking about playing against Sunderland.

"But the gaffer told us we had to concentrate. He told us to push from the first minute and enjoy our football. That's what we did.

"The gaffer brought me from Egypt to Sunderland and I played for him in three seasons for 36 games. It was fantastic for me.

"Again, he brought me from Sunderland to Hull.

"He's always giving advice. He gives me advice on life in England. He is a great man. He gives you confidence and you enjoy your football."
