Hull City boss Phil Brown is ready to smash their wage ceiling to sign Newcastle United striker Michael Owen.
The Sun says Brown hopes to open talks with the England striker this week in a bid to lure him to the KC Stadium.
The ambitious Tigers are willing to smash their wage structure and hand the former Liverpool star a deal worth up to £60,000 a week.
