Hull City need to secure a work permit to complete the season-long loan signing of Al Ahly striker Gedo.
Gedo, 28, joins up with the Tigers from Egyptian side Al Ahly for the second time, after being brought in on a previous temporary deal in January.
Last season, he scored five goals in 12 games as Steve Bruce's side won promotion back to the Premier League.
The Egypt international is the 11th senior player to arrive at KC Stadium in the summer transfer window.
