Hull City are still in for West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long.

Hull and Everton confirmed last night a fee had been agreed for Nikica Jelavic.

The Hull Daily Mail says sources at the KC Stadium were said to be cautiously optimistic that both Long and Jelavic can be convinced to join Steve Bruce's ranks.

Bruce has made no secret of his desire to sign Long since missing out in the final hours of the summer window.
