Hull striker Hernandez in hot water for punch on Man Utd's Jones

Hull City striker Abel Hernandez faces retrospective action after he was caught on camera punching Manchester United defender Phil Jones on Sunday.

Referee Lee Probert missed the incident during the game at the KC Stadium meaning Uruguay international Hernandez was allowed to play on in the goalless draw where he may have been sent off if the match official had have witnessed the event.

Hernandez appeared to jab Jones in the stomach with his right hand at a corner, dropping the English defender to the ground.

The Tigers were relegated to the second tier of the English football following the draw and Hernandez could face a ban come the start of next season's Championship campaign.
