Hull City striker Chuba Akpom hopes to join Alex Iwobi in Arsenal's first team next season.

Akpom is on a season-long loan at Championship side Hull but has netted just three league goals.

He told BT Sport: "It's always good to see young British talent shining in the Premier League.

"Alex, I grew up with him. He's like a brother to me so I'm buzzing for him, I'm buzzing for his progress and I'm just telling him that hopefully next season it's me and him playing together.

"This summer I'm just going to work as hard as I can and in pre-season do the best that I can."
