Hull City are still in the hunt to sign Andre Gray reveals manager Steve Bruce.
Following protracted negotiations this summer, it looked like Hull would ultimately fail in their pursuit for Brentford striker Gray.
However as a boost for the Tigers, Gray did not start Brentford's Championship opener against Ipswich Town and despite managing a goal after coming on as a substitute, the striker is expected to leave Griffin Park before the end of the transfer window.
Bruce has revealed that Gray remains a target for the Tigers and is hopeful of getting the deal across the line soon.
Bruce said: "We're still talking. We still haven't met their valuation but we hope we can. He scored again so his price has probably gone up again. It's well documented we're keen so let's hope we can pull something off."
