Hull City star Geovanni is determined to get one over former club Manchester City.

'Geo' was released by City last summer after getting few chances in a year at Eastlands.

The ex-Barcelona player, 28, has grabbed his chance at Hull, playing a huge role in their superb start to life in the top flight.

He said: "I have many friends there. But last season I did not have many opportunities. I have to thank Hull."

Tigers boss Phil Brown added: "He has shown everyone what he can do."
