Hull City captain Ian Ashbee will be fit for next season's kickoff.
The 32-year-old midfielder missed the last three games of the season with a ruptured posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
But while he is likely to sit out full training for the first fortnight of pre-season, Ashbee is likely to target the Asia Trophy in Beijing beginning on July 29.
Tigers boss Phil Brown said: "His brace will be off and it'll probably be a case of us trying to rein him in during those first few weeks."
