Hull City boss Phil Brown insists their summer signings will be made with a long-term view.
"We've always been looking long-term because there's a much bigger picture involved" the 49-year-old told the Hull Daily Mail. "As far as I'm concerned, the long-term future of Hull City is what matters most and this club will be around long after myself or the chairman have moved on.
"I would like to be remembered at Hull City for having a legacy of mine in place.
"That will need long-term planning and that approach has always been in my thoughts."
