Hull signing Ince doesn't expect walk-up start

Thomas Ince doesn't expect a walk-up start at Hull City.

The England U21 winger has arrived on a Bosman from Blackpool.

Ince told the Hull Daily Mail: "I want a strong pre-season under my belt and come the first day of the season I hope to be in contention. I just want to try and get in the team.

"You have to work hard each time to be involved on a Saturday. I'm no different.

"I'm 22 and now's the time I want to show people what I can really do. The gaffer has come in and done ever so well. It felt like home when I walked in here knowing so many people.

"When you get that feeling you're always happy to sign.

"He knows me inside and out. He's brought me here because he believes in what I can do.

"To be involved in such a strong squad, with a battle on all four fronts, there's no more exciting times. We're all raring to go."
