Hull set to hand Bruce bumper new deal

Steve Bruce is set to be handed a new contract by Hull City.

The Mirror says the Tigers boss is set for a bumper new pay deal as his reward for giving City their best season in their 110-year history.

Boss Bruce, appointed way back in June 2012, has guided City to a club-record 37 top-flight points and need just a draw at Aston Villa on Saturday to guarantee Premier League football next season.

Bruce is on a one-year rolling contract, but club bosses want him to pledge his future for at least the next three years.
