Hull City defender Paul McShane has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad.

The Football Association of Ireland have confirmed that the 26-year old has been called into Giovanni Trapattoni's playing group for the weekend's friendly with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Ireland will be without defenders Richard Dunne, John O'Shea and Sean St Ledger for the match and have brought in McShane to provide cover.
