Hull City defender Anthony Gardner is determined to show the football world what he is capable of after returning from a lengthy run of injuries.
The 28-year old has struggled to make an impression at the club since moving from Tottenham due to these injuries and now he is fit again, is looking forward to hitting some form.
It's great to get back with the boys," he told CITY Magazine.
"It's taken a long time - longer than I expected. It's been frustrating because all I've wanted to do is play football.
"That's why I'm here. That's what I do.
"But things like this kind of make you stronger, more determined. I can't wait to get back playing again.
"I just want to show people what I can do.
"I played in the first two games. I felt good. I liked the place, the club - everything. I thought this was the place to be.
"Everything was going well then bang! And it's like, 'Here we go again'. I got a dead leg - that was at Newcastle.
"It had to be drained and that put me back then, coming back from that, I pulled my thigh muscle, which was another six weeks. It was hard to deal with.
"It will be great to get back on a pitch again. When I'm out on a pitch, that's when I'm at my most confident."
